3 Doors Down

3 Doors Down is an American alternative metal band from Escatawpa, Mississippi. It was in the mid-1990s in the small town of Escatawpa, Mississippi, that 3 Doors Down came into being. The band was formed of singer and drummer Brad Arnold, guitarists Matt Roberts and Chris Henderson, and bassist Todd Harrell. Shortly after its formation, the band established itself as one of the best live acts in the region and released a first demo in 1997 that took off in the hands of an ever-growing audience. It was during an appearance at CBGB in New York in 1997 that the band drew the attention of the label Republic Records, a subsidiary of the giant Universal Music Group.
