Lombardo

Dave Lombardo, born on 16 February 1965 in Havana, is a thrash metal drummer. Drummer of the thrash metal band Slayer, he left it in 1992 and rejoined it in 2002. He is known for his speed, notably on the double bass drum, which earned him the nickname "Thunderkick" as well as "the godfather of double bassdrum". He also has the distinction of being a left-hander playing on a right-hander's drum kit ("crossed-over drummer"). He has also been part of the bands Fantômas, Grip Inc, took part in two albums by saxophonist John Zorn and in four albums by Apocalyptica. He also participated in a thrash metal album with Testament in 1999.
