Evol

Evol was formed in 1993 in Padua, in Veneto, under the French label Adipocere Records. After recording two demos — The Tale of the Horned King in 1993, and The Dark Dreamquest Part I in 1994 — the band released its first studio album, The Saga of the Horned King, in 1995. In parallel, the band's members formed a side project called Death Dies. On 17 February 1998, Evol released an EP titled Ancient Abbey. Their studio album, Portraits, was released in 1999 on the Adipocere Records label. The band appeared for the very last time in 2001 on the compilation Dies Irae before disappearing. From that point on, the members decided to continue under the name of their side project, Death Dies.
