Earthshaker

Earthshaker is a Japanese heavy metal band formed in 1978, popular in Japan in the 1980s. The original singer (and bassist), Minoru Niihara, left the band in 1980 before any recording to found Loudness, and was replaced by Masafumi Nishida, alias "Marcy". The band split up in 1994, before reforming in 1999. In the meantime, guitarist Shinichiro Ishihara formed the band SLY with Minoru Niihara and Munetaka Higuchi, both then ex-Loudness, and Masafumi Nishida formed his own band in 1998, the Marcy Band.
