The Ring is a Swedish Heavy Metal band formed in 2003 in Stockholm. The band recorded its one and only album, Tales from Midgard, in 2004. Since then it has been radio silence. The band appears on a few compilations including: "In the Beginning" on Deliver Us from Evil (Scarlet Records, 2004) and "Gathering Darkness (Edit)" on Dynamit Vol. 42 (Rock Hard, 2004). The last known line-up of the band was composed of: Pontus Norgren - Guitars, Bass, Keyboards (2004-?), Marcus Jidell - Guitars, Bass, Keyboards (2004-?) and Jakob Samuelsson - Vocals, Drums, Keyboards (2004-?).
