Wolfchant

Wolfchant is a Bavarian Death metal band with black and folk pagan sonorities, founded in 2003 in St. Oswald, Germany. It was in 2003 that Lokhi, Gaahnt, Skaahl and Norgahd, all coming from different metal bands, decided to found the band Wolfchant in St. Oswald (Bavaria, Germany). Their first demo, The Fangs Of The Southern Death, released in 2004, is a blend of Melodic death and Dark Metal. The same year saw the release of their second demo, The Herjan Trilogy, which places a much greater emphasis on the melodic aspect, and would thus define their style. The band draws its themes from nature and Nordic legends.
