Artillery

Artillery is a Danish thrash metal band that began its career in 1982 in a suburb of Copenhagen. The members were guitarists Jørgen Sandau and Michael Stützer, bassist Morten Stützer, drummer Carsten Nielsen and singer Carsten Lohmann. Together they recorded 2 demos in 1984, Shellshock and Deeds Of Darkness. In 1985, Rønsdorf became the new singer. They recorded a third demo, Fear Of Tommorow, and their first album bearing the same name. Two years later, Terror Squad came out. This album would be acclaimed by critics but would not be supported by their record company Neat. During this period, the band became friends with Metallica when they visited Copenhagen to record Ride The Lightning and Master Of Puppets.
