OZ (always written with two capital letters) is a heavy metal band originating from Nakkila, Finland. It was formed in 1977, split up in 1991 and then reformed in 2010. Since 1983, OZ has been active mainly in Sweden, the band members having settled in Stockholm after the release of their second album. In 2010, drummer Mark Ruffneck (born Pekka Mark), bassist and main songwriter Jay C. Blade (born Jukka Homi) and singer Ape De Martini (born Tapani Hämäläinen) reformed the band with the addition of Costello Hautamäki and Markku Petander. In 2017, OZ consists of five members, with Mark Ruffneck as the only original member.
