Enoly Gay

Enola Gay was founded in 1987 as a student band. After Rainer Rage, former guitarist of the German metal band S.D.I., and guitarist "Cagge" replaced founding members Michael Hildebrand and Carsten Duhme six years later, the first recording contract was signed with the demo Spectrum of Colors, which was produced shortly afterward. During the founding phase, drummer Marc Könnecke was the only one in a permanent position; guitarist Cagge was by then studying music and held a position as assistant director at the Osnabrück Opera, singer Peter Diersmann was undergoing training to become an electrical engineer in computer science and received BAföG, and bassist Christian Meyer managed to make ends meet with odd jobs.
