Huntress

American combo, formed in 2007 around singer Jill Janus, a former topless DJ known as Penelope Tuesdae who posed for Playboy. She is surrounded by Eric Harris, bassist and former member of Skeletonwitch, and the guitar duo Blake Mealh and Ian Alden, both formerly of the bands Trigger Renegade and Professor. The quintet released its first album Spell Eater in 2012, but it was the video "Eight Of Swords" that caused a sensation. Inspired by Mercyful Fate and King Diamond, Huntress made an appearance in France the same year, accompanying Dragonforce on their tour. On August 14, 2018, singer Jill Janus committed suicide at the age of 43. She had suffered from mental disorders for many years.
