Immolation

Immolation is an American death metal band formed in 1986 in Yonkers in the New York suburbs. They use a very dark and very "rough" sound. After several demos, their first album, Dawn of Possession, would be released on Roadrunner in 1991. The band would remain silent for 5 years before signing with Metal Blade to release there in 1996 an album long awaited by its fans, Here and After. The band would do a few tours over a year alongside Cannibal Corpse and Six Feet Under. After yet another long wait for the fans, they finally tasted the pleasure of the release of Failures of Gods. They would then release Close To A World Below in 2000, and then sign with the French label Listenable Records, for which they would record the albums Unholy Cult and Harnessing Ruin.
