Paul Di Anno, whose real name is Paul Andrews, is a British musician born on 17 May 1958 in Chingford. He is mainly known for having been the singer of the band Iron Maiden during their early years. He took part in the band's first two studio recordings. He would be replaced at the end of 1981 by Bruce Dickinson, his alcohol abuse having deteriorated his vocal abilities. Something that can be verified by listening to Paul's solo albums, from which he would never really shed his label as former singer of Iron Maiden. He even made live albums containing only Iron Maiden covers. Upon his departure from Maiden, he created his own band, Lonewolf, which recorded the tracks of the album Trigger by the Japanese singer Misako Honjoh in 1983. He also played in the bands Battlezone and Killers.
