Wisdom

Wisdom is a Hungarian power metal band created in Budapest. Formed in 2001, the band is known for writing its songs from well-known quotations. Many of the band's lyrics as well as all the album covers refer to an old man called Wiseman. At the time they had not yet found a name, which is nevertheless crucial to the life of many bands. They had gathered ideas over several weeks without finding one that suited them all. But quite quickly, Mate remembered the title of a 1986 film (Wisdom) in which Emilio Estevez plays the main character called John Wisdom. Mate knew it was rather surprising and thought it would be a perfect name for a metal band. The band would release its first album, Words Of Wisdom, in 2006, followed by the album Judas in 2011 and Marching for Liberty in 2013.
