Femme Fatale

For the many who do not know this band, Femme Fatale was formed in 1987 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The distinctive feature of this quintet is being led by a charismatic (and devilishly sexy) female singer, Lorraine Lewis. It was in 1988 that their eponymous album came out, which benefited from two devilishly suggestive videos, "Waiting For The Big One" and "Falling In And Out Of Love" (Ah, that self-flagellation of the buttock area, rrrrrr) playing on a loop on MTV. The band would enjoy a good critical success. It is true that the perfect figure of Lorraine Lewis (a tall, slim blonde with long legs, the dream of many males who fantasize about pretty female rockers) has plenty to make one dream and draw the eye. Yet musically the band did not look out of place in the hard rock landscape of that late eighties era.
