WebsiteNocturnal Rites is a Swedish (Umeå) Power Metal band founded in 1990 by guitarist and singer Fredrik Mannberg. The band recorded its first Demo, The Obscure, in early 1991 with Fredrik Mannberg on vocals. Since then, Nocturnal Rites has released 8 albums. In June 2008, guitarist Nils Norberg announced that he was leaving the band. Having always made music and Nocturnal Rites his main priority in life, Nils Norberg felt it was time for him to put music second and to devote more time to his family as well as to himself. A replacement was introduced in May 2010 in the person of Chris Rörland.
