Mercenary

Mercenary was the brainchild of Henrik "Kral" Andersen. The band formed in Aalborg, Denmark, in 1991. After releasing two demos, Domicile (1993) and Gummizild (1994), they were able to sign with the label Black Day Records and release a four-track EP, Supremacy (1996). In 1997, they signed with the Danish label Serious Entertainment, and in 1998 they released their first album, First Breath. In 2002, the band decided to broaden their sound with the arrival of pianist Morten Sandager, who contributed greatly with his keyboard, as well as his brother Mikkel, who helped develop the vocals in their songs.
