Chris Bay

Chris Bay, born in 1968, is a German guitarist and singer, mainly known for being the founder of the power metal band Freedom Call. Chris Bay took guitar lessons from the age of 7, then learned music theory at 10, at the same time as the piano. He gave his first concert three years later, with schoolmates, before starting to sing at the age of 19. During the 90s, he played in several bands, including the cover band Lanzer, of which he has been a member since 1992. He began writing songs in the band Moon`Doc from 1993 to 1996, then in the band Freedom Call since 1998, which he created with his friend drummer, Dan Zimmermann, who was also a member of Lanzer from 1993 to 1995.
