Website
Kreator is a German Thrash Metal band formed in 1982 in Essen, first under the name Tyrant then Tormentor. It was in 1984 that the initial trio adopted the name Kreator. Like bands such as Sodom, Tankard and Destruction, Kreator is considered one of the pioneers of German Thrash Metal. It is also one of the bands to have subsequently given the genre a more extreme orientation. Then known under the name Tormentor in the early 1980s, the band quickly made a name for itself through its musical violence. Led by the furious Miland "Mille" Petrozza, the band would experience its first period of glory during the years 85 to 90 with its first album: Endless Pain, where the vocals were at the time shared between Mille Petrozza and Ventor (who would give up lead vocals after Pleasure to Kill).
