House of Lords

House of Lords is an American rock and glam metal band, originally from Los Angeles, California. It was formed in 1988 from the ashes of Giuffria. On the occasion of signing a recording contract with his company Simmons Records, Gene Simmons renamed the band Giuffria to House of Lords, a registered trademark belonging to Gene Simmons and used by the band with his permission. Despite a lavish outlay of promotional resources, House of Lords would never reach the level of success attained by Giuffria and would split up in 1992 after releasing three albums of uneven quality. Singer James Christian reformed House of Lords in the early 2000s, being the only surviving musician of the original 1988 line-up.
