Laberinto was founded in 1989 in Caracas, Venezuela, as a metal/hardcore band and gained national popularity in a short time. In 1991, in search of their musical identity, the band began to experiment with the musical roots of Latin America and to combine Spanish and English lyrics. Laberinto, wanting to extend their borders even further, decided to take on new challenges in Europe, with Amsterdam as their base. In the Netherlands, they developed their unique style and sound, known as Metal-latino.
