Launched in 1995, Six Feet Under is an American death metal band, initially conceived as a side project by Chris Barnes, guttural singer of Cannibal Corpse. In 1998, guitarist Steve Swanson replaced Allen West. His contribution marked a significant turning point in the band's evolution. And with the recording of "Maximum Violence" in 1999, the whole world took notice of them. The tour with Danzig in 2000 on the "Vans Warped Tour" made "Maximum Violence" their biggest success to date. On "True Carnage" there is a fine guest appearance by rapper Ice-T on "One Bullet Left". The cover art was done by the famous Paul Booth.
