Grief of Emerald

Grief Of Emerald is one of those second-tier, no-fuss bands: nothing revolutionary or even very memorable (and they own it), but music whose purpose is to get your neck moving between two more "refined" metal albums. Formed in 1990 in Sweden, the band is led with a masterful hand by guitarist/screamer Johnny Lehto (ex-Decameron, whose review I invite you to read) who, after a demo and then an EP, signed with our beloved Frenchies at Listenable Records for three albums! No purely melodic Swedish-style black/death here, but rather a fairly intense, all-purpose black/death that blasts away nastily!
