Paradox

Paradox is a German Speed Thrash band formed in 1986 in Würzburg, Bavaria. Singer and guitarist Charly Steinhauer as well as drummer Axel Blaha had already been active in various projects since the early 1980s, but the band's name and the rest of the line-up kept changing constantly. The group was notably called Warhead1. In February 1986, they decided to form Paradox. Markus Spyth joined the band as a second guitarist, while Roland Stahl played bass. Thanks to a demo, the band obtained a contract with Roadrunner Records. The song Pray to The Godz of Wrath, taken from that demo, appears on the compilation Teutonic Invasion Part I. In 1987, a second demo titled Mystery was released. In May, the band entered the studio with producer Kalle Trapp (Blind Guardian) to record its first studio album.
