Dark

Dark is a German band formed in 1991 in Kaiserslautern. Very productive in its early days, the band released three albums from 1997 to 1999. After that, nothing at all, to the point that it is not even known whether the band split up or is still alive. « Seduction » is a criminally underrated and neglected piece of gothic metal by a band that may well possess one of the most poorly chosen names in the history of music. While Dark's early days were akin to a wonderful astral journey that resembled the collision of early Crematory with a few Dream Theater segments somewhere in the deep cosmos, "Seduction" is a polished, refined, romantic and painful gothic metal that, on first listen, has an overall sound reminiscent of 'Projector' by Dark Tranquility - except that 'Seduction' was released 2 years earlier.
