Devil’s Train

Devil's Train, which releases its first eponymous album at the start of this year, is a new band made up of musicians already known on the circuit: R.D. Liapakis (Mystic Prophecy), Jorg Michael (Stratovarius), Laki Ragazas (ex Evergrey) and Jari Kainulainen (ex Stratovarius). No beginners, then. However, for this kind of musical operation, the hardest thing is to succeed in forming a real band and not an addition of talents. The album delivers very effective Hard Rock and, moreover, the band benefits from excellent sound and superb production, which makes the whole thing sound good while all the tracks are immediately catchy and very rhythmic. As an opener, 'Fire And Water' immediately sets the tone of the album. Lipakis's powerful voice, the guitar solos, the impeccable bass/drums rhythm section, and an atmosphere as well as a sound that stands out well.
