Iron Savior

Iron Savior is a German Power Metal band originally formed by Piet Sielck, Kai Hansen and Thomen Stauch. The band uses the science-fiction theme for their compositions. Many concept albums in the metal world are based on fantasy, and Iron Savior was one of the first bands to change this trend. Most of their songs (especially on their early albums) tell the story of a spaceship endowed with consciousness (the "Iron Savior", literally "the iron savior"). This ship is said to originate from the lost continent of Atlantis. Their style is close to that of Gamma Ray and Helloween. And for good reason: Kai Hansen, one of the band's founding members, took part in both those groups. The original drummer, Dan Zimmermann, is also the drummer of Gamma Ray.
