Myrkvid

Founded in 2007, Myrkvid (not to be confused with a now-defunct band of the same name) released as early as 2010 a four-track mini-album to introduce itself to the face of the world and spit its hatred at it. The beast is named Satanic Inquisition; let us proceed with its dissection: The guys of Myrkvid are, right away, not the type to waste their time on vain introductions with a backdrop of streams and chirping birds. A few arpeggio notes in a distorted sound and the pyre bursts into flames without further ado. The band plays a brutal, square, massive Black. The notes of each riff are so many barbs planted into the face (take your pick) of God and his praisers, of the modern world or any other spawn deaf and blind to the venomous beauty of the noble art that is Black Metal. Here, no room for True Black with a miserabilist and scrawny sound.
