Shaman

Shaaman (initially Shaman, after the song of the same name composed by Andre Matos on Angra's album Holy Land) is a Brazilian heavy metal band formed in 2000 by three former members of the band Angra: Andre Matos, Ricardo Confessori and Luis Mariutti. They left their former band after the album Fireworks due to musical differences and hired Luis Mariutti's brother, Hugo Mariutti, to fill the guitarist position. The initial line-up recorded two studio albums and one live album and came to an end in October 2006 following differences in goals between drummer Ricardo Confessori and the other members. Drummer Ricardo Confessori kept the band's name and sought out new musicians with whom he recorded the album Immortal, released in the summer of 2007. In 2010, the album Origins was released.
