WebsiteNightmare formed in 1979 and made a name for itself by opening for Def Leppard at the Alpexpo in Grenoble in 1983 in front of 5,000 people. The band then signed with Ebony Records, the label on which the album Waiting for the Twilight was released. Nightmare replaced Christophe Houpert with Jean-Marie Boix for the recording of Power of The Universe. Shortly after, the band ended its collaboration with Ebony Records and the album was reissued in France by Dream Records. A 2-track demo was put in the can and Nightmare strung together a few shows in France and England which met with honest success. The story stops there, disagreements between the musicians leading to the dissolution of the band in 1987. Nightmare rose from its ashes in 1999 with a reshuffled line-up. The band signed a contract with Adipocère and released Astral Deliverance.
