Richie Kotzen

Richie Kotzen is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer born on February 3, 1970 in Reading, Pennsylvania. From a young age, Richie Kotzen was interested in music. He began playing piano at the age of five. He was seven when the band KISS gave him the desire to learn the electric guitar. Practicing this instrument diligently and also developing his talents as a singer, he began his career in a band named Arthurs Museum. Kotzen ended up being noticed by Mike Varney of Shrapnel Records, which allowed him to make his first solo album at the age of 19. He recorded the video Rock Chops for REH video in 1989, showcasing several of the techniques he masters. Among other things, he was a member of the hard rock band Mr. Big and pursues a solo career.
