Eric Carr

Paul Charles Caravello was born in Brooklyn on July 12, 1950 to parents of Sicilian origin, who later had two daughters, Loretta and Sissy. At the age of 13, Paul Charles Caravello discovered the Beatles. Their drummer, Ringo Starr, became his idol. A year later, he studied drawing and photography at a Manhattan high school. One day, to reward him for one of his works, his father gave him a Ludwig drum kit, a brand he would remain loyal to throughout his career. He then spent all his free time practicing. In 1965, he founded his first band: The Cellarmen. After high school, he worked odd jobs to make a living. He in fact kept hoping to one day make a breakthrough in the field of music.
