Mysticum

Mysticum is a Norwegian black metal band, originating from Asker. The band was formed in 1991 under the name Sabazios. After recording the demo Wintermass in December 1992 and its release in 1993, the band renamed itself Mysticum. Øystein "Euronymous" Aarseth of Mayhem and Deathlike Silence Productions (DSP) signed Mysticum, but was murdered before the band could release through his label; the band considers his death the most tragic day in the history of black metal, and Mysticum bassist Robin Malmberg emphasizes that the band would never have become what it became without Euronymous.
