Sword

In the 1980s, in Saint-Bruno (Quebec), Rick Hughes (singer) and his brother Dan Hughes (percussion) formed a heavy metal band called Sword. The band was then joined by guitarist Mike Plant and bassist Mike Larocque. They signed their first commercial contract with Aquarius Records. In 1986 and 1988, Sword recorded two albums under the Aquarius Records label, Metalized and Sweet Dreams. After the dissolution of Sword, Rick Hughes formed a band named "Saints & Sinners" with which he recorded an album of the same name. Guitarist Stéphane Dufour had then joined the band in order to replace Mike Plant. In 2006, Aquarius Records released a compilation album, The Best of Sword.
