Ministry

Ministry is an American band, originally from Chicago. Their music is mainly a fusion of metal and industrial music, with punk influences. It is considered the first industrial metal band. Their music was initially oriented toward new wave/synthpop, then Ministry changed its style to industrial metal at the end of the 1980s. Ministry found mainstream success in the 1990s with their album Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and the Way to Suck Eggs and tours as part of the Lollapalooza festival. After 27 years on stage, Jourgensen decided to put an end to the band in 2008, and subsequently declared that it would never reform. However, on 7 August 2011, a reunion was announced.
