WebsiteAlcatrazz is a traditional heavy metal band founded by singer Graham Bonnet in Los Angeles in 1983. The initial members consisted of Graham Bonnet (vocals, former member of Rainbow), Yngwie J. Malmsteen (guitar, former member of Steeler), Gary Shea (bass, ex-New England), Jimmy Waldo (keyboards, ex-New England) and Jan Uvena (drums, ex-Alice Cooper / Pointer Sisters). In 1985, Malmsteen would be replaced by the famous guitarist Steve Vai for the duration of one record and one tour.
