Meat Loaf

Meat Loaf (literally meat loaf), whose real name is Marvin Lee Aday, born in Dallas, Texas on September 27, 1947, is an American rock singer and actor. His album Bat Out of Hell, released in 1977, was one of the best-selling albums of all time. It notably features the track Paradise by the Dashboard Light. He appeared in the cast of the Broadway musical The Rocky Horror Show. Meat Loaf is the first child of Orvis Wesley Aday, a police officer, and Wilma Artie Hukel. Aday was an alcoholic and spent a considerable amount of time on multi-day binges in bars. Meat Loaf and his mother scoured the bars of Dallas looking for Orvis to bring him home. Because of this family situation, Meat Loaf was largely raised by his grandmother.
