Mascots
Scary Guy
Metallica's Scary Guy mascot made its first appearance on the 1992 single "Live at Wembley" and was created by James Hetfield. The frontman is also responsible for designing the band's ninja star as well as the various logos Metallica has used over the years. The simple sketch became synonymous with the Metallica brand, depicting a skull with a mohawk and two crossed arms, both topped with an extended middle finger.
