Mortillery

Mortillery was formed in October 2008 in Edmonton, Alberta. It initially comprised singer Emily Smits, guitarist Alex Gutierrez and bassist Miranda Gladeau. They were joined by Cara McCutchen (vocals) and James Guiltner (guitar). In 2010, the band released its first EP, self-titled. In February 2011, they released their first album, Murder Death Kill, on the label Horror Pain Gore Death Productions. Possessing an artistic touch and a very old-school sound, going against the grain of the thrash revival wave, the band was quickly noticed by the label Napalm Records, with whom it signed in March 2012. In 2013, they released their second studio album, Origin of Extinction. In 2014, Mortillery embarked on its first European tour with Sepultura, Legion of the Damned and Flotsam and Jetsam.
