WebsiteLeaves' Eyes is a German and Norwegian symphonic metal band. They were formed in 2003 by Liv Kristine, former lead singer of Theatre of Tragedy, and the entire line-up of Atrocity. To date, the band has released eight studio albums, one single, six EPs, one live album and one DVD. Most of Leaves' Eyes' lyrics, written by Liv Kristine until her departure in 2016, deal with Norse mythology and the Viking era. The melodic vocals of Liv Kristine and her replacement Elina Siirala are sometimes underpinned by the death growls of Krull, identified by the vocal style Kristine calls "beauty and the beast".
