Website
Pain is an industrial metal band from Sweden. The group was created as a hobby for Peter Tägtgren, whose idea was to fuse metal with techno influences. Tägtgren, who is also the singer/guitarist of Hypocrisy and the producer of The Abyss studio, was originally the only member of the band. Since the album Psalms of Extinction, permanent members have taken part in the composition and the recordings. The first self-titled record was released in 1997, and since then the group has released seven albums and two DVDs. Pain served as the opening act on the concerts of the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish in Europe during the tour of their album Dark Passion Play. On the album Cynic Paradise, the former Nightwish singer Anette Olzon appears as a guest on two tracks, "Follow Me" and "Feed Us".

Mascots

Peter Pain

Peter Pain

A humanoid hybrid between a voodoo doll and a robot, this little character is the adorable mascot of the great Peter Tägtgren's Industrial project. Unlike other Metal mascots that seek to inspire fear, this one is more of a cuddly-toy sort, a little guy with a look that's both cool and a bit sad, one you can identify with.
