Lordi

The concept of Lordi came about while Mr. Lordi was only 18 years old. The idea for this project is closely tied to two of Mr. Lordi's callings: the rock and metal of the 1980s, and cinema. He studied film, where he specialized in make-up and storyboards for commercials and short films. He had to choose between music and cinema, and he ended up choosing music, thinking he could flourish there more than in making commercials, etc. Through his musical project, he was finally able to combine his two passions thanks to the making of costumes, cover artwork, etc. Able to play all the instruments, Mr. Lordi began recording demos alone in 1992 in his hometown of Rovaniemi in Finland. In 2002, Lordi released their first single: Would You Love a Monsterman?
