Carpathian Forest

Carpathian Forest is a Norwegian black metal band, described by the band itself as Misanthropic Black metal, and named Enthrone in its early days. The band was founded in 1990 by Roger "Nättefrost" Rasmussen and J. Nordavind. The band displays a provocative image and draws the wrath of many movements, whether Catholic or feminist. The themes addressed in the albums are rather classic: Satanism, anti-Christianity or sexual depravity. The atmosphere created varies in each of them. While the first albums are resolutely centred on a dark and melancholic atmosphere, the following ones are faster and have a punk energy.
