Imperanon

The band Imperanon formed in autumn 1999 in Helsinki when guitarist Asko J. Sartanen and drummer Jaakko Nylund met. Shortly afterwards, Aleksi Sihvonen and Eki Nurmikari joined Imperanon. The band recorded its first demo "Until The End" in 2002. Imperanon made its mark with a solid knack for shimmering melodies blended with powerful riffs and rough vocals. The band moved to Lintuvaara, Espoo. During 2002, musical differences arose between Asko and the rest of the band, which led to the founding member parting ways with the group. Aleksi Virta offered to play keyboards, which relieved the band. Joining Aleksi was Lauri Koskenniemi as guitarist. The second demo "Imperanon" was finished in 2003 and met with great success, its stock quickly selling out.
