Obtained Enslavement

Obtained Enslavement is a Norwegian black metal band. The band was founded in 1989 in Stord by Pest (also singer in Gorgoroth), Døden and Torquemada. They played symphonic black metal, with a very significant dose of keyboards and greatly inspired by classical music. The band released two demos, Obtained Enslavement in 1992 and Out Of The Crypts in 1993, before releasing four albums: Centuries of Sorrow in 1994 on Likstøy Music Inc., very close to traditional black metal (in the vein of Burzum or Mayhem), without keyboards, then Witchcraft in 1997 on the label Wounded Love Records, Soulblight the following year, and finally The Shepherd and the Hounds of Hell in 2000, on Napalm Records. The band then ceased to exist.
