Dragonlord

DragonLord was founded in 2001 by Eric Peterson, Steve DiGiorgio (of the band Testament) and Steve Smyth (of the Thrash Metal band Nevermore). The band's founding was the result of Eric Peterson's interest in "dark" metal, which he could not compose with his original band, Testament: so he created the band DragonLord. The themes addressed in the band's lyrics vary: they deal with death, war, Satanism or other anti-religious themes, common in the black metal milieu. For their first album, titled Rapture, the band incorporated into the black metal genre elements belonging to thrash metal. For their second album, Black Wings Of Destiny, however, the band would abandon all thrash metal elements to turn towards a much darker and much more black metal genre.
