Sourvein

Sourvein is an American sludge metal band, originally from Wilmington, Cape Fear, in North Carolina. The band has four albums as well as numerous EPs and splits. Among the musicians who have played in this band are several members of Buzzov•en as well as Electric Wizard guitarist Liz Buckingham and former The Gates of Slumber drummer Cool Clyde. In the early 2000s, Sourvein blended Black Sabbath-style guitar riffs with a vocal style close to death metal. Liz Buckingham was recruited in 1998. During this period, the band left Wilmington to relocate to New Orleans. Between the 1990s and 2000s, Sourvein, which regularly changed drummers, saw Jimmy Bower and Slim Spencer pass through before recruiting Henry Vazquez. JC, one of Sourvein's former bassists.
