Nevermore is a thrash metal band created in 1992 in Seattle on the ruins of the band Sanctuary. Nevermore stands as a UFO in the current metal scene, since it gathers and blends a great many influences. The band formed at the initiative of Warrel Dane and Jim Sheppard, who had previously collaborated in the band Sanctuary. With Warrel Dane on vocals and Jim Sheppard on bass, the band was joined by Jeff Loomis on guitar and Van Williams on drums; the band is now complete and released its first eponymous demo in 1992. They were spotted by the Century Media label, won over by Warrel Dane's very special voice and Jeff Loomis's guitar playing (who has always been self-taught). The band therefore entered the studio in 1994 to record a first eponymous album with Neil Kernon.
