Waysted

Formed in 1982 by former UFO bassist Pete Way after his project with 'Fast' Eddie Clarke, Fastway, failed. He brought in Frank Noon (Def Leppard), Paul Raymond and singer Ian 'Fin' Muir. The band signed with Chrysalis Records, UFO's label. However, instability undermined the band. Raymond was dismissed the day before a tour with Dio. Then Waysted and Chrysalis parted ways. The band still experiences stability problems and goes through periods of inactivity. On 14 August 2020, Pete Way died at the age of 69 from the aftermath of an accident that occurred two months earlier. The artist had previously survived prostate cancer, detected in 2013, and a heart attack in 2016.
