Kick Axe

Kick Axe is a Canadian heavy metal band, originating from Regina, Saskatchewan. Influenced by the arena rock of the 1970s and early 1980s, the band is best known for its album Vices, released in 1984, praised by publications such as AllMusic for its "dirty guitar riffs" and which notably managed to break into the American market. The band enjoyed moderate commercial success in the mid-1980s thanks to the singles Heavy Metal Shuffle, On the Road to Rock, With a Little Help from My Friends and Rock the World. After the release of their album Rock the World in 1986, Kick Axe split up and remained on hiatus for many years. In 2004, the band reappeared with the album Kick Axe IV.
