Karo

The Berlin hard rock band KARO released its only album "Heavy Birthday" in 1988. Praised by critics and fans alike, their melodic yet somewhat raw style was accompanied by superb songwriting and musical talent. Since then, it has been an open secret that KARO recorded more than thirty songs between 1987 and 1989, of which only ten made their debut. While Robert „Karo" Straub played keyboards in Morgenrot and Lutz Salzwedel (v) played the lead role in Karusell, both with German-language lyrics, Salzwedel later released several records under the name Dan Lucas and recently won The Voice Of Germany Senior, it was the talent of Erich Holstein (g) that literally set the band KARO ablaze. Shortly afterward, recordings took place in Berlin and Frankfurt with producers Peter Hauke and Andy Lunn.
